These for us you planned, which none can recount.

Take heart through the seeking of His face.

For though mother and father forsake you, the Lord will receive you to Himself—

Teaching you His ways and leading you in straight paths.

Every war and rumour of war, every earthquake and destructive flood that raises up the waters of chaos against us— proclaims God’s coming judgment on all earthly kingdoms.  Yet in covenant faithfulness to His own promises for all creation, He is coming as a pent up to secure justice for the poor and uphold the rights of the needy.

On that night a light shined and we heard its voice: “Behold, I give you the treasures of darkness; riches stored in secret places, that you may know that I am the Lord who summons you by name.”

We saw in the evening sky a light and heard its voice: “High up beyond this rising moon; here in heavenly realms I seat you— where over all nations I reign.

Here up on the high place— to you who are captive to me, I give gifts and make known mysteries of the coming age.”

Every time I feel the wind blow upon my face,

I remember when as a mother the Spirit of God hovered over the waters of chaos;

For the purifying of our hearts, is the Word of God sharper than a double edge sword.

Only take and eat the word held out to you, so that like a tree planted by streams of water, you may yield fruit in the right seasons of harvest and prophesy for the healing of the nations.
