Against hope

When against hope, God hears prisoners’ groans and releases them condemned to death, then from dusty places He raises the poor. Then from ash heaps, He lifts up the needy— giving them a place at His majesty’s table. Then with breath of His nostrils, He fills dead wombs— birthing offspring to her called barren. When all is spent but Jesus passes by and His cloak we touch— then falls the power of His kingdom come.
