Spirit of love

“A formless void was the earth, and darkness covered the face of the deep.

But the Spirit of love God sent—

To brood over the face of the waters.”

Like the hen who makes darkness a living womb

The Spirit fills our night

Overshadows the void

Warms the open heart,

And forms chaos into promise.

“Still your heart on me, and know I am God.”
