Magnificat

For me great things the Lord has done;
On me His servant, great favour is come.
The greatness of God my soul proclaims,
For Him I fear, whose name is holy.
And this I fully know—
His mercies have no measure,

The proud His strong arm scatters;
From their mighty thrones, He cast them down.
Far away He sends the rich, empty-handed.

From ash pits He lifts the poor;
With good food He fills their hunger.
On thrones He seats us at His court.

Our feet He guides in the paths of peace.
From Him we receive an open heaven,
Visions of worlds without end.
