Wait for the Lord

In the land of the living, wait for the Lord;

Take heart through the seeking of His face.

For though mother and father forsake you, the Lord will receive you to Himself—

Teaching you His ways and leading you in straight paths.

Creation groans as in childbirth

As if in the pains of childbirth, creation groans for the full redemption of the coming New Humanity.  But until then, she suffers the sins of our dysfunctional reign over all the earth. Thus unleashing her full fury, creation mocks our “towers” of unbridled consumption and now threatens the far plains of Babel.

Every war and rumour of war, every earthquake and destructive flood that raises up the waters of chaos against us— proclaims God’s coming judgment on all earthly kingdoms.  Yet in covenant faithfulness to His own promises for all creation, He is coming as a pent up to secure justice for the poor and uphold the rights of the needy.
